Is this therapy or counselling?
No. All offerings are educational and experiential. They are not psychotherapy, counseling, clinical art therapy, or medical treatment. The focus is on gentle movement, self-awareness, and reflective practices.
Do I need experience in yoga or art?
No. No prior experience in yoga, movement, or art is required. All practices are guided, optional, and adapted to each participant’s comfort level.
Will I need to share personal or emotional experiences?
Sharing is always optional. You are never required to speak, explain your creation, or disclose personal information. Silent observation and participation are welcome.
Is it safe for midlife bodies or with physical changes?
Yes. Movements are adapted for midlife bodies, with attention to joint health, balance, mobility, and pace. Options and rest periods are always provided.
Is there breath work?
Breath awareness is integrated gently and naturally to support calm and presence. There is no intense or activating breath work.
What kind of art is used?
Simple, mindful practices such as writing, drawing, or freeform sketching. These support self-reflection without interpretation or emotional processing. No artistic skill is required.
Is it suitable if I experience anxiety, depression, or trauma?
This program is not designed to treat mental health conditions. If you are experiencing significant distress, trauma symptoms, or a mental health crisis, this space may not be appropriate. Professional mental health support is recommended.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothing for movement, a water bottle, and an open attitude respecting your own pace. Art materials are provided unless otherwise noted.
Can I stop or take breaks during the session?
Yes. You are encouraged to listen to your body and take breaks as needed. Rest is an integral part of the practice.
